Design : Soda Bottle Label Design
When start-up company Monterey Beverage Company asked Full Steam to create an identity and labels for a new line of organic bottled soft drinks, we enthusiastically accepted the challenge. The client’s soon approaching introduction date meant we had to design a logo and five flavor labels simultaneously. To awaken interest in a soda-saturated market we exploited a name that evokes images of great natural beauty – Monterey Bay – with scenic illustrations and colors specific to each flavor name. All the sodas are organic with natural ingredients so we placed the phrase “Handcrafted Organic” through the center of the logo to capitalize on this point-of-difference and elevate product appeal. Our intent – to infuse product image with a sense of place – paid off when initial taste testers told us they felt like they were “experiencing a little bit of Monterey Bay.”
