Full Steam helped TransFRESH promote their colorless, odorless, protective gas-based product, Tectrol®, to the produce industry in a unique way that differentiated them from the competition. For decades, TransFRESH and their competitors advertised their products by showing photos of beautiful, perfect fruits and vegetables. Instead, Full Steam developed a comic strip series, which ran online and in print, based on a super-hero character Full Steam named Captain Tectrol. The Adventures of Captain Tectrol strip showed the super-hero winning battles with several “villains” well known to the produce industry, which allowed TransFRESH to break through the clutter and communicate the benefits of Tectrol® in a meaningful and interesting way.
