When the Big Sur Land Trust decided it was time to regroup and redefine what it stood for, it brought in Full Steam Marketing & Design to help conceptualize and capture a reformulated corporate mission that outlined an expanded set of initiatives and increased community participation. The result of the collaboration was a vibrant and engaging new website, promoting the organization’s new focus while capturing the diverse natural beauty of Monterey County’s rich landscape and the communities residing within it.

The Big Sur Land Trust is a 30-year-old community-based organization dedicated to sustaining the well-being of Monterey County’s unique natural and human communities. In response to growing environmental and socioeconomic challenges threatening the delicate balance of the area’s ecology, the Big Sur Land Trust gathered and processed extensive community input over a 4-year year period to re-purpose and re-evaluate its role in local conservation efforts. The resulting long-term vision portrayed through the Website reflects five key pillars of focus: healthy communities, ecological health, stewardship of resources, education and youth, and durable local economy.

The Full Steam Web design incorporates colors and textural elements that invoke the natural attributes and calm serenity of Monterey County. Big Sur Land Trust intends to leverage its new Web presence to educate, advise and engage with the community at all levels to ensure conservation and enjoyment of our region’s natural resources becomes a common purpose for everyone.
