Full Steam Marketing & Design Produces Video of Grower's Production Process
Marketing Video Paints Beautiful, Succinct Picture of Grower’s Production Process
Salinas, California – Apr 15, 2008
In the verdant, fertile fields of California and Arizona, Pacific International Marketing produces a bounty of fruits and vegetables. Broccoli, salad mix, celery, tomatoes and melons are just some of the more than 100 crops that the grower gleans from its farms year round. But most of Pacific International’s customers – food distributors, grocery retailers and food service establishments across the U.S. – never see the meticulous process that delivers this fresh, high-quality produce to their door.
That’s why Pacific International teamed up with Full Steam Marketing & Design in Salinas to tell the story of how the grower selects, harvests and packages its array of high-quality conventional and organic commodities. Pacific International’s sales reps will use the 15-minute video to educate customers on the company’s topnotch business practices and its commitment to delivering food that is fresh, safe and delicious.
“The purpose of the video is to be an informational tool for our customers,” says Henry Dill, sales manager, Pacific International Marketing. “Many of our customers have not been able to see our production process. Through these videos, we hope to bring that knowledge to them either with a sales presentation by our salespeople or have it integrated as part of our customers’ own training or sales meetings.”
The video guides the viewer through the harvesting and packaging of four Pacific International products: broccoli, spring mix, celery and romaine lettuce. Full Steam’s gorgeous videography captures the lush fields and mountainous backdrops of the valleys where the company grows its diverse crops.
The video takes the viewer into the fields for an intimate look at farm workers harvesting and trimming crops by hand. The video highlights Pacific International’s food safety practices, a point of pride with the company. For example, workers are shown wearing masks, hairnets and gloves while harvesting, and inspectors regularly check to make sure safety standards are being followed.
From the fields, the video takes the viewer on a tour of the grower’s washing, packaging and cooling processes, which work to provide the freshest, highest-quality produce possible to the end user. The video also delves into Pacific International’s organic growing practices, explaining in simple terms the complex details of organic farming.
The end result is a fascinating, informative video that paints the customer a picture of Pacific International’s production processes from farm to market.
“I am very happy with the finished product,” Dill says. “Full Steam definitely captured who we are as a company and told our story in a beautiful and succinct way.”
