Over a strong 20 year client partnership, Full Steam collaborated with Fresh Express on the company’s brand development, including packaging design for each product introduction, helping Fresh Express become “The Pioneer in Packaged Salads.”
When the company decided to update their salad packaging to reflect a new marketing strategy, Full Steam recommended visually joining the SKUs as a brand-family.
The challenge was to balance the Fresh Express name and mark with signature design elements and color-coded product flavors, to simplify selection for consumers, and to create a unified shelf presence that dominated the category.
Full Steam maximized the “fresh” concept by prominently featuring it on a sunrise background, which identifies Fresh Express products even from a distance.
Today, Fresh Express products have some of the most recognizable packaging in the grocery store. Product identification has been simplified through exemplary design solutions to make selection and distinction intuitive. The bold, unified brand-family commands attention, and adds value to the entire packaged salad category with its professional appearance.
