Non-Profit Bilingual Brochure
Funded by a Federal grant and administered by the Monterey County Office of Education Media Center for Art, Education and Technology, Community Connection is a program offering free training classes in basic computer skills and digital media to students of all ages throughout the Monterey County region.
Community Connection was looking for a general purpose brochure that would convey the collaborative classroom experience and the rural demographics of Monterey County in an easy-to-digest bilingual format. Salinas-based Full Steam Marketing & Design created a double gatefold brochure that enabled the English and Spanish content to break cleanly between the two folds. For additional distinction, the second language was rotated 180 degrees.
The color palette drew from existing Community Connection materials and showcased classroom images against a textured backdrop featuring subtle references to technology and students at work. The target communities of the rural Salinas Valley were represented by a computer classroom superimposed on top of a field.
